How can I Add Drawings to my Chart?

In MT5, you can add various drawing tools to enhance your chart analysis. These tools include trendlines, horizontal lines, Fibonacci retracements, and more.

Here's how to do it:

1. Open the Chart:

   • Navigate to the chart where you want to add a drawing.

2. Access Drawing Tools:

   • In the top menu click on "Insert" > "Objects" to open the available options.
     
     

3. Choose Your Drawing Tool:

   • Select the drawing tool you wish to use. Common tools include:
     • Trendline: Draws a line connecting two or more price points.
     • Horizontal Line: Adds a flat line across the chart to mark specific price levels.
     • Vertical Line: Marks a specific time point on the chart.
     • Fibonacci Retracement: Allows you to add Fibonacci levels to the chart for retracement analysis.

4. Apply the Drawing:

   • After selecting your drawing tool, click on the chart where you want to start the drawing and drag it to the desired endpoint.
   • For tools like Fibonacci retracement, click the start and end points to set up the levels.

5. Adjust the Drawing:

   • You can click and drag any drawing to adjust its position or resize it. Right-clicking the drawing gives you options to customize properties like colour, and thickness, or delete it.
