An Investor Password in MetaTrader 5 (MT5) is a read-only login that allows someone to view your trading account without being able to make any trades.
There are 2 different methods to change the investor password.
Option 1 via MT5 Terminal

Open your MT5 Terminal.

Go to Tools > Options > Server tab.

Click on Change next to the password field.

In the window that appears:

Enter your current master password.

Check the box “Change investor (read only) password”.

Enter your new investor password and confirm it.

Option 2 via Navigator Panel
- Open your MT5 Terminal and ensure you're logged into your trading account.
- In the Navigator panel, right-click on your account name and select "Change Password."
- Right click on your account and click change password

In the window that appears:

- Enter your current master password.
- Check the box “Change investor (read only) password”.
- Enter your new investor password and confirm it.

- To share your trading performance with others, such as potential investors or followers.
- To allow third parties, like mentors or account managers, to track your activity.
- In copy trading setups, it serves as verification or proof of your trading history.
